Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications at the moment are open and will shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home having a combined gross domestic income that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic revenue isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 click here and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the correct Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, website as reflected of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
